acronyms. Listed below are 5 common acronyms used in the industry.
AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) Ajax is a
programming language that allows for the updating of specific sections
of content on a web page, without completely reloading the page.
API (Application Programming Interface) This is a program
that advertisers create to manage their search engine marketing
campaigns, bypassing the search engines’ interfaces.
CPC (Cost Per Click) The amount search engines charge
advertisers for every click that sends a searcher to the advertiser’s
web site. For an advertiser, CPC is the total cost for each
click-through received when its ad is clicked on.
CMS (Content Management System) Is an application that
allows website owners and staff members to make updates to their update
a website using a browser interface. Most content management systems
allow users to make such edits with little or no web design skills.
